The engine hours LCD screen became intermittent in 2013 at 593.7 hours. It may display today - it may not. The counter is still working so when it displays it is correct. From the log book and the Ray Marine Log the hours are estimated in the service book. 720 in July 2016. Assume 800 hours which averages 50 hours a year in line with previous known usage and will be within 10% up or down.
There is a full service history with servicing every year irrespective of how few engine hours have been recorded.
There is a complete toolkit and spares pack which will stay with the boat. Full socket set, full spanners, screwdrivers, stainless jubilee clips, filters, fan-belts, impellers, oil, quality coolant, anodes, rope-cutter service kit. If the boat might need it then it is probably onboard. Rigging bolt cutters and stainless steel saw-blades are located in the safety locker in the event of a rigging catastrophe.
There is a carbon-monoxide sensor fitted in the stern cabin. The stern cabin is beside both the engine and the cooker. This is a quality 3 sensor system - Gas (sensor under cooker )+Petrol (sensor in equipment locker) + Carbon Monoxide (sensor in aft cabin) These sensors are waterproof - if they get wet or even submerged they will regain their functionality when they dry out.

2 x halyard winches.
2 x electric sheet winches for ease of handling and less fit crew - one port one starboard - two speed when used manually. These winches can be used with every rope - including the main halyard to haul the bosun's chair to the masthead.
2 x manual 2 speed sheet winches - one port one starboard.
2 anchors 1x CQR at head with 50 metres of chain and electric windlass operated at both head and cockpit. 1 Danforth with 10 metres of chain, anchorplat and an anchor chum (stored under saloon table). Very safe anchoring.
Anchor chain securing hook to provide damping in a swell and to silence chain movement over the bow roller as the boat swings to the wind or the tide. Allows a good night's sleep in the fore cabin and takes all the load off the electric windlass. Transfers all loads by rope through the fairleads to the two deck mounted cleats port and starboard - thereby spreading the loads through the boat.

The GPS aerial for the Horizon Plotter/AIS is mounted to the inside of the equipment locker so that in the event of a dismasting the aerial will not be ripped off the pushpit rail by the fallen rigging.
There are two spare aerials - one is mounted on the stern rail and is ready to be connected at the back of the radio in the event of a dismasting. The second is mounted by the chart table.
There is a waterproof hand-held VHF as a back-up to the main radio. Ideal to take to the grab bag or use in the inflatable.
Chart plotter at nav station and cockpit.
Equipped with Sea Me active radar reflector.
Autopilot has remote control on wandering lead. Control unit can be connected in cockpit and foredeck and displays key navigation parameters.
Equipped with Sea-Me active radar enhancer for night sailing and low visibility sailing. (Fog and rain)
Equipped with radar with MARPA tracking system to calculate target course, speed and closest point of approach.
Equipped with autopilot at the helm and the chart table. The chart table autopilot control is hand held on a wandering lead that reaches to the foredeck. This means that it can be used for anchoring (displays depth), sun-bathing while under power.

Lodestar 3 person light weight inflatable dinghy with battery pack and electric pump that inflates the boat within 3-4 minutes whether on the foredeck or the dockside. The system also quickly deflates the boat so that it can be packed away with the maximum of ease. Inflatable floor so no horrible boards or slats.
2.3 hp Honda air cooled light weight outboard for ease of mounting and passing over the rail. Legendary Honda reliability means it starts even after an extended absence.
Broker's Comments
The moment you step foot onto this yacht you will realise she is a much loved yacht. The vendor has owned this boat from new and has covered all of the 8000 NM which are recorded on the plotter. As Chief Executive of a major UK commercial vehicle retailer in the UK our vendor has ensured that his boat has been spoilt. There is no item of safety equipment, no item of on-board luxury and no item of optional equipment that our vendor says he has not invested in. Money has never been an issue - only safety, reliability and comfort.
This Bavaria 36 has to viewed as it is unlikely that any other yacht of this age will be as equipped or as well loved over 14 years.
